DESCRIPTION AKA Acuminate horseshoe bat. From the family Rhinolophidae. It was described 1871 by German naturalist Wilhelm Peters. Its species name "" is Latin for "pointed." It is nocturnal, roosts in small colonies and is found resting in caves or under palm leaves. It is a pale grey /brown with pointed nose.
