DESCRIPTION One of the largest of the leaf insects - this is a fantastic specimen. This is a type of walking stick or phasmid that is native to Southeast Asia. Shown is the female - the male is much smaller in size. It is a wonderful leaf mimic which serves as an effective deterrant from predators. Their broad legs resemble dying leaves and they are difficult to spot high up in the canopy.
