DESCRIPTION  AKA The Common Rose. Bright red spots on a deep black background on the wings of this pretty butterfly. Commonly found in many South East Asian gardens. Feeding on the toxic Aristolchia genus of vines and climbers the aristolochic acid makes the adults toxic to predators like birds and lizards.
