DESCRIPTION AKA The Great Blue Hookwing. Large vivid violet blue markings on this very popular rain forest dwelling Peruvian butterfly. Note the unusual hooked wing shape. When resting it holds its wings upright displaying " dead-leaf " look-a-like wings which camouflage it within the forest canopy.
