DESCRIPTION Smokey grey white colouration on this beautiful rare morpho. Different from other morphos shown by the pointy serrated like edges on the hind wings. There are 29 species of Morpho. Their iridescent colouring is a result of the microscopic scales on the wings which reflect light. The underside is a dull brownish colour usually with various eyespots which deter predators when wings are closed and also provide great camouflage when perched on trees or bushes
A must for the framed butterfly collector. Not often stocked.
