DESCRIPTION AKA Red Cracker. Known to emit a loud cracker like clicking noise when guarding their territory or mating. The speckle like colourations on this brush footed species can vary from butterfly to butterfly so making their camouflage very effective when perched on tree trunks or rocks. This butterfly has pale blue ridge like lines running through the wings with a hint of pink on the upper hind wings. They feed on rotting fruit or dung.
