DESCRIPTION AKA Rosy Maple Moth. Gorgeous pink and lemon colours on this very small silk moth from the Saturniidae family. As the name implies the larvae feed on a varietly of maple trees found from southern Canada down to Florida. These moths live up to nine months and are common enough that they can be considered a pest as huge numbers can defoliate trees. These are nocturnal moths.
