DESCRIPTION From the family Buprestidae this is one of the most sought after beetles worldwide. Measuring only 6cm this jewel beetle has colours that dazzle. Metallic greens, reds, yellow and blues. They feed on nectar from a variety of flowers in the upper forest canopy. Photography cannot do justice to the bright colours on this jewel beetle. Sizes range from 38-42mm
