FRAME 16.5x16.5xD5cm Made from recycled products.
DESCRIPTION Rare South American butterfly wingspan 70mm. One of the most vivid blue / aqua coloured butterfly in our collection and much sort after by collectors. The underside is a dull leaf like brown colouration. Anaeomorpha splendida was described by the Hon. Walter ROTHSCHILD in 1894 from a male caught by Maxwell Stuart, a English naturalist well known for his Lepidopteran material obtained between the area of Yurimaguas and Iquitos, Peru.
Photographs do not do the wing colours justice.
