SPECIES Anaeomorpha splendida Male
FRAME 16.5x16.5xD5cm Made from recycled products.
DESCRIPTION Rare South American butterfly wingspan 70mm. One of the most vivid blue / aqua coloured butterfly in our collection and much sort after by collectors. The underside is a dull leaf like brown colouration. Anaeomorpha splendida was described by the Hon. Walter ROTHSCHILD in 1894 from a male caught by Maxwell Stuart, a English naturalist well known for his Lepidopteran material obtained between the area of Yurimaguas and Iquitos, Peru.
Photographs do not do the wing colours justice.
Set in white matt board.
As we rarely receive this beautiful butterfly we have decided to keep it in our collection but thought our clients may want to view this rare species.
