DESCRIPTION AKA Gray's leaf insect. Unusual combination showing the difference between male and female on these leaft insects from the family Phylliidae. These leaf insects can be found in yellow, orange and green colourations. The male has hind wings but the larger flatter female is flightless. They are herbivores mainly found in tropical rainforests from Malaysia to Madagascar. They are short lived - females live from 4 to 7 months and males from 3 weeks to 1 month.
