DESCRIPTION AKA Hooded mantis. Most mantids species are found in gardens. With a well camouflaged green body these insects sit very still and pounce on their prey with their very strong forelegs. This mantid has an extended thorax which is round / shield like which makes it well camouflaged as a tree dweller.
