DESCRIPTION AKA The White Barred Emperor. Unusual cream/caramel and maroon colourings on the verso side of this large brush-footed butterfly from the family Nymphalidae. The underside shows various patterns of neutral colours which when perched on branches offer a fantastic camouflage against predators. Spectacular butterfly.
