DESCRIPTION AKA Malaysian Moon moth. Beautiful long tailed moth is a Saturniid in the subfamily Saturniinae from Indomalaya. The male is purplish-brown and yellow but colourations can vary from moth to moth with a wingspan up to 12cm. Preferred habitat is lowland forests, and it is difficult to find in the wild.
