DESCRIPTION AKA Spoonwing Lacewing. Delicate dark brown lattice markings on this small lacewing. The hindwings are a lot longer than the fore wings which give these lacewings a rather unusual appearance. Often seen feeding on the nectar and pollen from assorted field flowers by harvesting pollen from anthers by rapid movements of the mouthparts. In addition they collect pollen with the tarsi of the fore legs.
