DESCRIPTION Crisp white coloured wings with a chain of small black spots on the hindwings of this stunning South American morpho. The underside has various eyespots which deter predators when wings are closed and also provide great camouflage when perched on trees or bushes. Unlike most morphos this large butterfly has no blue colouring.
