DESCRIPTION Bright tan markings on the elytra. These beetles belong to the family Scarabaeidae. These beetles have wonderful colourations which may vary - the male is normally bigger than the female and exhibits forward protruding horns. The male is approximately 60-65mm are often kept as pets and can be reared by enthusiasts. In the wild they feed on tree sap and the larvae reside in the compost which forms inside descomposing logs.
