DESCRIPTION Huge thorny stick insect native to Papua New Guinea. Fabulous camouflage on this phasmid with brown leaf like body parts which resembles twigs or leaves on a tree and their eggs could be mistaken for seeds, and juveniles often mimic ants.
Most phasmids have the following attributes :-
- They are usually solitary animals.
- They are usually green or brown, resembling sticks, twigs or leaves.
- Females are usually larger than males.
- Stick insects are herbivores
