DESCRIPTION AKA Javan mastiff bat. It is insectavorious large dark winged bat with a wingspan of up to 22cms. Its is a species of bat in the family Molossidae endemic to Indonesia. It uses ecolocation to feed on moths and other insects. It will often drop down and forage on the ground with its tail sticking up. These taxidermy specimens are a bi-product of the pest control industry. No animals are killed directly for the puprose of taxidermy.
