DESCRIPTION AKA Italian flag butterfly. Small but absolutely stunning. From the family Riodinidae which comprises the metalmark butterflies. The common name "metalmarks" refers to the small metallic-looking spots commonly found on their wings. The metallic blue colour and the bright red and white on the verso of this butterfly make it one of our most sought after framed butterfly.
